Ideal for Japanese-style aquaria and Dutch plant aquaria
In plant aquaria which contain a large number of plants but no fish, or only very few, it is worth introducing on a daily basis not just those nutrients which are consumed rapidly, but also the two main nutrients nitrogen and phosphorus. These two nutrient elements are generally present in surplus quantities in normal aquaria, and therefore are not included in conventional aquarium fertilizers. In aquaria containing demanding plants, on the other hand, they can be an important factor affecting plant growth.
